A Week of Balance and Harmony: Mindfulness of Chakra Energy
There have been many times in my life when I felt off-balance, out of control, or misaligned mentally, physically, and spiritually. This changed when I became aware of my seven energy centers. While I am not a Chakra expert, I actively seek ways to maintain my mental well-being and embrace practices that help me feel whole and consistent.
When all chakras are open, energy flows freely, creating harmony between the body, mind, and spirit. Conversely, blocked or overactive energy centers can lead to stagnation and contribute to various physical, emotional, and spiritual issues. Understanding the chakras and recognizing their states can help identify which areas need attention and balance. For more in-depth information, I will link some helpful articles as I am no expert.
In my own studies and practices, I found it beneficial to assign a chakra focus to each day of the week, starting with my root chakra on Sunday and ending with my crown chakra on Saturday. Lets begin with a simple explanation of the 7 chakras :
Root Chakra:
The Root Chakra, or Muladhara, is the foundation of your energy system, located at the base of your spine. It governs your sense of safety, security, and stability, and connects you to the physical world. When balanced, it fosters feelings of groundedness and stability. When out of balance, you may feel anxious, insecure, or disconnected.
