Get to know me, Kayla Sarhai, Ochun Yemi, Owner of O.Yemiz Beautique (Beauty Boutique) in Fairfield, CA - One Stop Shop for Beauty
Hello, HELLO!

I’m Kaylasarhai (pronounced Kay-lah-sah-rra-ee—don’t forget to roll that R!), and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m just a woman crafting the life of her dreams—one bold, beautiful, intentional step at a time.

As a Gemini with a flair for expression, a tendency to overshare, and a deep love for dancing to my own rhythm, I proudly wear many hats: born-and-raised entrepreneur, licensed cosmetologist, certified life success coach, aspiring doctor with a foundation in psychology and biology, freelance blogger, ordained priestess—and most importantly, daughter, mom, sister, and wife.

Balancing all these roles has taught me something powerful: the importance of putting myself first, not out of selfishness, but to serve from a place of wholeness. It’s from this space that I now help women break through limitations, embody their confidence, and create lives they truly love.

My work combines science and spirit, beauty and mindset, to support your full transformation—from how you feel on the inside to how you shine on the outside. My mission is simple: to help you look good, feel good, and live even better.

Right now, I’m focused on living in alignment—anchored in love, guided by freedom, and moved by intention. I believe in the transformative power of mindset, self-care, and showing up as your most authentic self—even when life feels messy. If you're curious how I do that, check out my Balance Guide, available now. It’s filled with the practices that keep me grounded, glowing, and growing.

I’m also thrilled to be expanding my vision with the launch of O.Yemi’z Beautique in Fairfield, CA—your new go-to for premium beauty services, transformational coaching, and fashion-forward finds. Think of me as your modern-day fairy godmother, here to “bless your crown” and help you shine through every stage, season, and celebration of life.

Explore My Journey: A Living Resume Told Through True Stories with a Touch of Magic

COACH KAYLA : MAY 2025(2008) - PRESENT

ree

In a bright little studio tucked behind a blooming garden of wildflowers and lavender, Coach Kayla started every morning with a ritual—coffee, quiet meditation, a few stretches, and a look in the mirror. Not to fix anything, but to affirm everything.

"You’re powerful, you’re present, and you’re prepared," she’d whisper to her reflection.

Coach Kayla, didn’t stumble into this calling. The seed was planted in 6th grade, when a quiet girl named Lily handed her a folded note with the words: “Can you help me be like you?”

At the time, Kayla didn’t fully understand the impact of that moment. She thought Lily just meant outfits or hair advice. But what Lily really saw was light—confidence, creativity, and comfort in her own skin. That note was the first time Kayla realized she had something special to offer.

Years later, that spark grew into a full-blown mission.

As a stylist, Kayla noticed that her clients often stayed long after their appointments, sharing struggles and seeking more than just beauty tips. Her chair became a sacred space, and her listening heart became her greatest tool. She knew then she was meant to offer not just a makeover—but a mindset shift.

O.Yemi'z Beautique was born, blending beauty, self-care, and soulful coaching. Her sessions weren’t just about appearance—they were rituals. Candles, music, oils, journaling, affirmations written in lipstick on the mirror. Every detail was intentional. Every experience was a reflection.

Women came to her feeling lost, burnt out, or unseen. They left glowing with direction, clarity, and a sense of ownershipover their lives.

One day, years into her coaching journey, she received a message: “I don’t know if you remember me, but I was the girl who passed you a note in 6th grade. Just wanted to say… thank you. I see now that you were always meant to shine—and help others shine too.”

Coach Kayla smiled. She remembered.

Her work wasn’t just about glow-ups—it was about guiding people back to the truth of who they are. Every birthday, she offered her signature session, “The Year You Bloomed,” a blend of reflection and celebration that helped women honor the past and envision the future.

People asked her secret, and she always smiled.

“The mirror tells the truth,” she’d say, “but I teach you how to see the truth as beautiful.”

And from that first elementary school note to every woman who sat in her chair, Coach Kayla lived her mission: reflecting potential, purpose, and possibility—one heart at a time.

MS. KAYYY : MARCH 2023- PRESENT

Mrs. K was never quiet. In fact, she was the opposite—full of life, laughter, and opinions. The kind of girl who filled a room just by entering it. She wasn’t shy, not by any means. But loud girls like her? They’re often misunderstood. And that misunderstanding, over time, can wound deeper than silence ever could.

Growing up, Ms. K faced a different kind of pain—the kind that comes from being bullied not because she was weak, but because she was powerful. Jealousy from peers, criticism from teachers, and the constant message that she was “too much” left scars that no one could see. While others admired her confidence, they didn’t realize how guarded she had become.

Over time, she learned to tone herself down to stay safe. Not to dim her light, but to protect it. Expression became something she rationed—saving it only for those who made her feel safe enough to shine.

Still, that spark never went out.

As she grew older and stepped into motherhood, something shifted. She looked at her children—bold, curious, emotional—and saw pieces of her younger self in them. She knew the world hadn’t changed much, but she had. And that was enough to lead a change from the inside out.

Fueled by a passion to protect and empower the next generation, Ms. K became a teacher. Not just of subjects—but of self-worth, communication, and connection. She brought her full personality to the classroom: real, radiant, and unapologetic. Her students didn’t just learn; they were seen, heard, and inspired.

As her impact grew, she began coaching not just kids—but their parents too. She saw how miscommunication and unhealed wounds created gaps between generations. So she bridged those gaps—with compassion, tools, and a fierce belief that healing is possible through community.

Ms. K now helps families do what she had to learn for herself: how to honor who you are, how to listen without judgment, and how to raise children without dimming their light.

She teaches from lived experience, with science-backed strategies, a big heart, and a bold voice.

“You’re not too much. You’re the right amount for the right people,” she tells every child (and inner child) she meets.

Today, Ms. K is a teacher, coach, mother, and visionary—turning her story into a movement that helps others grow together, rise together, and heal together.

THE BALANCED BEAUTY : MARCH 2022 - PRESENT

Once upon a very real time, there lived a woman called The Balanced Beauty—known not for being perfectly put together, but for making everything look effortless. She wore many hats: a business owner, a partner, a mother, a friend, a leader, a healer, a creator. She wore them with grace… until she couldn’t anymore.

One day, she looked in the mirror and didn’t recognize herself. Not because her face had changed, but because her light had dimmed. She wasn’t dressing up out of joy anymore—she was getting dressed in survival. Her rituals became routines. Her joy became duty. Her dreams? On the back burner behind everyone else’s needs.

She smiled on the outside, but inside she was spread too thin. She said yes when she meant no. She poured out her energy like water with no cup to catch it. And then… she hit a wall. Emotionally, mentally, spiritually—rock bottom.

It wasn’t loud. It wasn’t dramatic. It was still. A stillness that finally forced her to listen.

And in that silence, she heard something deep—her own voice. Faint, but steady. It led her back to something she had forgotten: her energy. Her essence. Her balance.

That’s when she discovered the chakra system—not as a trend, but as a map.

She studied. She healed. She cried. She meditated. She wrote.

She started at the root: safety, security, grounding. She moved to the sacral: pleasure, flow, feminine energy. She healed the solar plexus: power, confidence, worth. She opened her heart: love, forgiveness, connection. She spoke up: clear, bold, honest. She trusted her intuition: her inner knowing returned. She aligned with spirit: surrender, purpose, peace.

She didn’t just learn balance—she became it.

From that journey rose something bigger than herself: a guide. A lifeline. A soft place to land for anyone who had ever felt like they were doing it all and losing themselves in the process.

She called it “O.Yemi'z Balance Guide”—not because she had it all figured out, but because she finally knew how to realignwhen she didn’t.

The guide became a tool for women to track their energy, understand their seasons, heal from burnout, and remember that they’re never alone. It included chakra reflections, journal prompts, self-checks, rituals, and reminders that it’s okay to rest, to ask for help, to be human.

The Balanced Beauty was no longer the woman who wore every hat to prove her worth. She wore only what honored her energy, her soul, her truth.

And she made it her mission to remind others:

You don’t have to do it all to be worthy. You don’t have to be everything to everyone. You just have to be aligned—with yourself.

Now, when someone feels off, overwhelmed, or lost, they find their way to her guide. And every page whispers: You are supported. You are enough. You are allowed to come back to balance—again and again.

OYEMI x KSARHAI : MARCH 2021 to Present

From a young age, it was clear she was destined to do more than just show up—she was born to pour into others. At just seven years old, she was ordained with the name Oshun Yemi, a powerful spiritual name rooted in Yoruba tradition.

Years later, while creating space between her personal and business identities online, she found the perfect merge—using the first initials of her birth names and combining them with her spiritual ones. That’s how her brand became O.YEMI-K.SARHAI—a sacred signature of her personal power and divine calling.

In Yoruba culture, Oshun is the Orisha of sweet waters, beauty, love, femininity, and abundance. She flows with compassion, charm, and sacred seduction. The name Yemi means "befits me", and when joined, Oshun Yemi translates to:“Oshun suits me,” “Oshun pleases me,” or “Oshun is fitting to me.”

But for her, it meant even more.

It wasn’t just that Oshun suited her—it was that she was meant to suit and treat others, with the same beauty, softness, power, and abundance.

It became her mission: to fulfill the meaning of her name by helping others see themselves through a sacred, loving lens.

So when she says, “I’m here to bless your crown,” it’s more than styling hair—it’s an act of devotion. Through touch, words, and presence, she uplifts. She listens. She shares good energy and reminds her clients of their divine worth.

Because yes, she can style you beautifully—but she’s also here to remind you:

You are strong. You are soft. You are worthy of sweetness.

She understands that life isn’t always light. There are bitter seasons. Hard days. But that’s what makes the sweet so powerful. Whether you sit in her chair for a hair transformation or schedule a one-on-one session to talk life, healing, or alignment, you’ll walk away feeling more seen, more whole, and more connected to yourself.

Through every braid, every affirmation, every conversation, O.Yemi K.Sarhai is not just building a brand—she’s walking in her destiny.

THE COLLEGE DROPOUT : MARCH 2019 - PRESENT

In the vibrant heart of a traditional Latina household, the firstborn daughter is often seen as the golden child—the living embodiment of the family’s hopes and sacrifices. For Lil K, this identity was ingrained early. Raised by a society that believed deeply in the power of education, the path was laid out for her long before she could choose it herself: become a doctor. It was a vision of stability, prestige, and the ultimate symbol of their American dream.

Driven by duty and pride, Lil K dove into her academic journey with unwavering commitment. She studied biology, dedicating countless nights to textbooks and clinical hours, pushing through exhaustion to meet the expectations set for her. Yet, something inside her began to unravel. The life she was working toward felt increasingly hollow. Despite excelling on paper, she felt distant from her true self—disconnected, drained, and unsure.

When the burden became too heavy, Lil K made a bold decision. Without telling her parents, she took a leave from college and pursued something radically different: hairstyling. The creativity, the intimate connections with people, and the space to express herself felt like air after years underwater. For the first time, she was thriving—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Eventually, she sat down with her mother and told the truth: she had left school and was building a career in beauty. As expected, her confession was met with disappointment and over time, her family began to see her joy and fulfillment. Their expectations softened as they witnessed the passion behind her purpose.

Still, Lil K felt the need to complete what she started. With only a few credits left, she returned to finish her biology degree—not because she needed it for her career, but because she had earned it. That science background, though once a symbol of misplaced pressure, would later become the foundation for something greater.

Now, Big K not the Lil uses her scientific knowledge not only to inform her approach to beauty and health, but to back her growing work as a self-care and confidence coach. Her background in biology enhances her understanding of wellness, the nervous system, hormones, and the energetic alignment of the body. She bridges science and soul, helping others achieve not only outer beauty but internal balance.

Through years of transformation, she’s come to recognize that her journey was never about rejecting her roots—but about redefining what success looks like on her own terms. Today, she aspires to return to research and pursue a PhD, this time on her terms—exploring topics that merge beauty, wellness, energy, and healing.

K is no longer the golden child living out someone else’s dream—she is a Balanced Beauty, integrating science, spirituality, and coaching to help others reclaim their power. And through her work, she proves that true success is not about fitting a mold, but about becoming whole.
